The pause is one of the most important "moves" in tango both for the expression of your musicality and for intensification of the connection between leader and follower. The magic of Argentine tango is in its mood and aesthetic. In order to achieve this iconic look for yourself you need to pay close attention to your posture, the pose with which you move and the poses you create throughout your dance and especially in those moments of suspension into a soft pause.
At this intensive Argentine tango workshop Miriam and Nicolas will give you specific technique tips and exercises to increase your beneficial use of suspension in every step you take to make you really look like a tango dancer and help you unlock your potential to improve your tango.
The technical skills vital to achieving this will be taught in great detail and you will be given options to make it attainable and satisfying whether you want an ambitious challenge or a simple introduction to the concept.
During the workshop Nicolas and Miriam will give you beneficial strengthening exercises to practice at home as well as advice on how to stay with the music in your dance. No need to bring a partner, some tango experience is essential for this workshop. This two-hour workshop is suitable for all with useful simplifications given to beginners as well as advanced challenges on offer for more experienced tangueros. No partner necessary.
