Syncopated Styling for Milonga - Tango Workshop
Nicolas Godoy and Miriam Gita - Sunday 18th January 12-2pm
Syncopation is an essential part of funky milonga style in Argentine tango for both leaders and followers. Nicolas and Miriam will introduce new ways for you to incorporate syncopated style into your milonga and give you a strong technical basis to your milonga dance. At this intensive tango workshop you will learn how to add syncopation to your milonga styling by contrasting this highly syncopated style with the smoother and more even tango aesthetic. You will also be given you strengthening exercises designed to get the principle assimilated into your muscle memory and make you look more like a tango dancer by enhancing your posture, balance and flexibility.
No need to bring a partner. This is an open-level workshop, all welcome!

Welcome to The Joy of Tango social club
My weekly Argentine tango classes on Wednesday evenings are a friendly mixed-level group really welcoming and encouraging for total beginners as well as being challenging for experienced tango dancers because I passionately believe that a large part of the tango experience is about being able to adjust ourselves to various different dance partners in the most mutually pleasurable way whatever their level of experience.
